Trauma vs. Psychedelics

Trauma

Many people understand what trauma is on the surface but don’t realize how it affects our mind and bodies. Our mind and body actually hold trauma at a cellular level. They’re referred to as trauma markers, and they can be held at a cellular level. So not only our mind but also our body remembers these events. If you’ve heard the term generation trauma, this is trauma that’s been passed down from one to another, meaning although their mind may or may not remember this trauma, their cells (from parents) do.

Psychedelics

Psychedelics have the potential to allow us to release these trauma markers from both our mind and body. Thereafter, allowing us to have a better relationship and perspective on our lives and every aspect of it. Research shows that psychedelics such as magic mushrooms cause not only current neural pathways to be repaired, but also cause new pathways to be created.

Cell regeneration is another benefit that was discovered in research studies. There is a general rule that our cells start regenerating after 7 years. This means it can take 7 years for your body to start recovering from a traumatic experience. Psychedelics are a bio hack to this rule and allow our body to immediately start healing and regenerating its cells.
